Pope Advises to Married Couples to Ask God For Help
Pope Francis welcomed a group of consecrated people, newlyweds and couples celebrating their silver or gold anniversary, to the Apostolic Nunciature in Bogota, Colombia, on 9 September.
The Holy Father arrived in Colombia on Wednesday for the first papal visit since 1986. The aim of five-day trip was to try to bring a divided nation together in the cause of peace.
He reminded them that each and every one has been called by Christ to a vocation. “Throughout our lives, our vocation is lived with joy, sorrow, sin, and grace,” said the Pope. He added that the vocation we are called to live is always the same, but just in different ways.
However, he cautioned that perseverance was not guaranteed. “[We must] ask for it from the Lord,” he said.
